API keys are used for authentication purposes, with two primary functions:

  1. When paired with your email address, they serve as the basis for API Basic authentication.
  2. They can be used on their own for registering Anycast IP nodes.

To create a new API key, navigate to the Profile/API keys section of our control panel. Alternatively, you can click the dropdown icon to the right of your email address and select "API keys."

API keys menu

Once there, click the plus button to create a new API key.

API keys support Access Control List (ACL), which allows you to restrict a specific API key to certain IP addresses and subnets. The default value 0.0.0.0/0,::/0 permits access from all IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. When the pop-up opens, you can provide the ACL value as a comma-separated list of subnets or leave the default value unchanged, then click "Proceed."

API key editor

After creating the API key, it will appear on your list.

If you wish to delete an API key, click the trashcan button and confirm your choice. Please note that once an API key is deleted, it cannot be recovered.

You can edit the ACL for specific API keys by clicking the pencil button, updating the value, and clicking "Proceed."

Currently, there is no limit to the number of API keys you can create.
